TechTuesday 01: Brew Diary

Today we're kicking off a new segment in our blog, a segment dedicated to cool tech stuff that relates to coffee in any way shape or form.

To kick off, we'll be looking at Brew Diary, a little Apple Watch app that I've been using for a bit over a year and has helped me be more consistent in my brewing abilities.

What is it?

In short its a recipe diary you have on your wrists at all time. You can create your own recipes and once created you it can guide you on replicating it every time.

- Platform: WatchOS

- Developer: Joakim Sjohaug

- Price: $0.99

It's not as precise as say combining a smart scale with the filtru app, but it can help you brew more consistently in case you're traveling and don't have a smart scale on you, or sometimes it's just more practical than setting everything up. Each recipe can save variables such as:

- Beans used

- Brew method

- Brew time (stages)

- Coffee weight

This was just a short little intro into the segment to let you guys know of this little tool that I don't think many people know about but could be really useful.
